In Memorium: Our much loved long-time Board member, past President, and Vice President for Rustington, Phyllis Semple, died suddenly in October. We all will miss her very much. After much thoughtful discussion, the Board decided to accept contributions from Sister Cities’ members to purchase and dedicate one or more redwood trees in Phyllis’ memory. They will be planted in Redwood Grove in December. Please send your donation checks to our membership chair… Chuck Lindauer (385 Cherry Avenue, Los Altos 94022). Please make them out to LASCI fbo Phyllis Semple. |

Vacant Positions:
The Events Chair is supported by the entire Board when preparing for an event. The two primary events are the Annual General Meeting in January and the Summer Family Picnic. Other events, such as slide shows, are supported primarily by the host/traveler.
Phyllis was our VP for Rustington. This position involves attending monthly board meetings, providing ongoing contact with our sister city and help to plan visits to and from there.
The Membership Chair keeps track of member status, sends out regular member bulletins and reminds members when it is time to renew.
Contact
us if you are interested in one of these positions. |
